ABOUT DR. BREWER
Dr. Brewer started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many preventable heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. While there, he went on the run the post-graduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine. From there, he made a career of practicing and managing preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His later role in this area was Chief Medical Officer for Premise, which has close to 1,000 primary care/prevention clinics. He was also the Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a heart attack, and stroke prevention clinic.
At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack, stroke, and cognitive decline. We serve patients who have already experienced an event as well as those who have not developed a diagnosis or event. Dr. Brewer provides services via telemedicine or in person if you're in the Lexington, KY area. We find a lot of undiagnosed Pre-Diabetes or Insulin Resistance. Treating unrecognized risk factors like Pre-Diabetes allows reduction of risk and prevention of disease.

ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
Dr. Bruce Ames is faculty at UCBerkeley. He's credited by many for the mitochondrial theory of aging. He's got another theory associated with aging - the Triage Theory. According to Dr. Ames, chronic moderate deficiencies of micronutrients lead to triage of these micronutrients to the immediate life-sustaining processes. Other processes get supplied only after the life-sustaining one. Therefore, immediate life-critical process support comes at the cost of longevity. Chronic diseases take us early since these micronutrients were not available for long-term, less critical processes.
Dr. Ames is no lightweight in the science world. He's faculty at UCBerkeley, and he's written over 550 papers. He's one of the top-cited scientists in the world. He's been on the board of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Cancer Advisory Board. He's won multiple awards, such as the Linus Pauling Award, the Japan Award and others.
He's been a major force behind the recent discoveries of Vit K2, and it's impact in preventing artery calcification and cancer.
What supplements does Dr. Ames use? I couldn't find that. He does mention the CHORIBar. It is a bar being developed by his team at Children's HOspital Research Institute. So far, it doesn't seem to be available. But early clinical trials are promising.
